Fana Process
Our Process
Each Fana jewelry piece and engagement ring is hand-crafted in our state-of- the-art jewelry workshop. Our family has been crafting jewelry for countless generations, our jewelry expertise and training is exhibited in each piece of Fana jewelry.
Design & Model Making
Our manufacturing process begins with our design and model team. Our award-winning design team’s sketches are turned into models using either a centuries old carved-wax method or cutting-edge 3D CAD modeling and printing technology. Our artisan team of model designers are expertly trained to fuse beauty, style and function.
Quality Standards
Each step in manufacturing our jewelry is buffered by a stringent Quality Control and Quality Assurance process. Our meticulous attention at each step of the process comes from understanding the emotional importance this piece represents today and in the future.
Metallurgy & Casting
Casting is the next step, and likely the most important. Fana has created the Fana Casting Process, that ensures a cleaner Gold or Platinum casting without porosity. The alloys our metallurgist team choses is a safely-guarded recipe, resulting in metal that is cleaner and brighter than other jewelers. All Fana pieces are crafted in Gold or Platinum, and our Gold is 100% nickel free and hypoallergenic.
Pre-Polish
Once our Casting Process is complete, Fana makes sure to fully polish the entire piece, commonly referred to as Pre-Polish in the jewelry world. This extra step ensures that all the spaces that will not be accessible after stone setting are properly polished and left sparkling.
Stone Setting
Our next step is Stone-setting. Fana Diamonds and Gemstones are carefully screened and selected upholding the highest standards and parameters. Less than 1% of the loose gemstones and diamonds we review are selected to be used in our jewelry. All stones are hand-set by our master jewelers under a 10X laboratory microscope.
Final Polish & Quality Assurance
The final step in our production process is Polishing and Finishing. Since our process began with the Fana Casting Process, our Polishing department works with a superior piece of jewelry, and bringing out the sparkle simply takes a delicate touch on the polishing wheel and an additional Rhodium bath for White Gold pieces. Once this process is done, a final Quality Check take place and the piece is on its way to its beloved.

We are constantly auditing our sourcing and production process to reduce our environmental footprint to the best of our ability.
